Residential Architecture
Designed as a sanctuary from the vibrant coastal energy, the residence employs a restrained material language to foster a sense of introspective calm.
The architectural approach prioritized the framing of light and the rigorous curation of negative space. By limiting the palette to travertine, natural oak, and patinated bronze, the home acts as a silent gallery, allowing the shifting coastal sunlight to become the primary decorative element.
Material Syntax
Details 01The selection of materials was driven by a desire for permanence and natural aging. Unfilled travertine floors ground the spaces, while custom oak joinery introduces warmth. Bronze accents provide sharp, drafted lines that articulate transitions between spaces.

Sculptural Circulation
The central staircase transcends pure function, operating as a lightwell that draws morning illumination deep into the home's core. The curved oak handrail was hand-carved on site, providing a continuous tactile thread through the vertical transitions.
